Being Cyrus
This made-for-multiplexes flick , by newbie Homi Adjania, is a welcome movie, not your regular run of the mill stuff. Its refreshing in its candor, and does not pussyfoot around in the storyline.Things move along crisply, and thankfully there are very few wasted, unwanted scenes. The acting performances are good, especially from Saif, Simone and Boman. I did feel Dimple overacts a bit. Homi Adjania makes a assured, confident debut and hopefully will go on to make more such stuff. The disppointing thing was , I guessed the plotline, halfway through the movie. Another thing which bugged me, was that there were no subtitles, during the Parsi dialogues. I got the feeling that i missed out on a lot of punchlines. All in all a good movie, and deserves applause for the team.
