the pommies r beating the hell out of the windies, 3-0 with 1 more to go..we r looking at a whitewash i say, frankly this windies team is pathetic, must be such a dampener for the proud team players of the past.
one of the barbs which hurt me most was when, carl hooper's windies had just won the final of the triangular final (india-zimbabwe-windies) in zimbabwe, beating india by 20 odd runs..despite a late fighback by dighe and sodhi. the indians had played fluently in their league matches winning evrythng by quite a margin, so their loss in the final was a big dampener..and then hooper said in the after-match comments .."we played badly in the league matches, but we expected that we would pick up in the finals..after all it was india we were palying against"...bastard ..that just goes to show the standing indians have in the eyes of the world...
hope this TEAM will change the perceptions. lay a new path...strike out where no indian team has gone before..
